Project 52, Week 3… Winter Wonderland
How many of you are experience this CRAZY weather we have had in Western Washington this past week? In Lacey on Wednesday, we were hit with 13” of snow in less then 12 hours. That was on top of the 3 inches we already had. For the Olympia/Seattle area, this is unheard of. Olympia/Lacey totally shut down. On Thursday we were hit with freezing rain and temps in the 20’s causing almost everyone to lose power. We are SO lucky that we have not lost power at our house! SO LUCKY!!! Most homes and businesses are still without power, some going on 4 days now. Good news is that it is starting to warm up, a lot of the snow has melted and life will hopefully be back to normal by Monday here.
So with all that, of course I thought WINTER WONDERLAND would be a great topic for week 3! And here is my picture of my adorable (yes, I know I am biased) daughter:
Now let’s see yours! Follow these steps to link up your photo:
1. Post a photo you took this week to your blog, Facebook page (must be public for us all to view it), Flickr, Pinterest, Twitter, or anywhere else you post on the web. Include a little comment about the photo telling us why you chose it.
2. Submit the link to your post using the InLinkz button below. You must submit the actual post link (permalink), not just your website URL. NOTE: do not include http:// in your link
3. Submit your photo for week one any time between now and Saturday, January 28th.
If you have any trouble, contact me at brandi@aspinphotography.com
Thanks for participating!

Project 52, Week 2… WATER!
Being a mommy was a little extra challenging this week and the cause for my delay on week 2. I apologize but know all you other mommies out there understand!
I am going to start announcing the topic for the week every Sunday. You will have from Sunday to the following Saturday night at 11:59pm PST to submit your topic. For week two, you will be able to submit until the end of week three as well. Did I totally confuse you yet?
For now, let’s move on to week 2, WATER!
This is a photo of my daughter’s new fish. Sometimes his name is “Fishy” and other times his name is “Dorothy” (as in Elmo’s goldfish). It just depends on when you ask. I took this photo this week while I was taking photos of her new, big girl room. Check back later this week for those if you are interested in seeing it.
Now it is your turn! Follow these steps to link up your photo:
1. Post a photo you took this week to your blog, Facebook page (must be public for us all to view it), Flickr, Pinterest, Twitter, or anywhere else you post on the web. Include a little comment about the photo telling us why you chose it.

Project 52, Week 1… Happiness!
Well I thought we would just post photos to my Facebook page but then I realized it wasn’t as easy as that! So I am sorry about all the confusion and delay but I finally got this figured out!
You will now be able to post the photo on your own Facebook page or blog and then connect it right here! This should be exciting!
The topic for week one is HAPPINESS!
I chose to use this picture of my sweet daughter. She fell asleep holding on to a photo of her boyfriend, Easton.
Now, link up your photo for week one! Here is how:

Project 52!
I have never been good at setting “resolutions” at the first of the year. I would rather always have goals I work towards whether it be January or October. How many of you make New Year’s resolutions?
I do however see the first of the year as being a GREAT time to start a big project. I wanted to do a 52 project last year but never got around to starting. I would LOVE to one day do a 365 project but that intimidates me a bit right now.
This is the year! I am going to not only start a 52 project but I WILL finish it and I would LOVE if you would all participate! Each week, I will post a topic… You interpret it how every you would like and show us through a photo you take that week. Anyone can participate regardless of your photography level. Use your DSLR, point and shoot or even your phone to capture the moment. (I LOVE taking photos with my phone!) Then I want you to share your photo on my Facebook wall. http://www.facebook.com/aspinphotography
Here are my goals with this project: Be a better blogger! Capture more moments for myself and not just my clients. And most importantly, connect with all of you a little more!
The best part is I am going to motivate you by giving out random prizes to anyone who participates. This doesn’t mean that you have to participate each week. Post whenever you would like and however much you would like! But there will be some GREAT prizes throughout the year!
So this weeks topic? Happiness! Show us what happiness mean to you?
I will be posting my photo on Friday! Have fun! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

2011 Review… a Few of My Favorites!
First off, I want to thank all of my AMAZING clients for making 2011 such a fantastic year! Last January I would never have imagined that the year would be so good to me. I am so excited to see where 2012 takes Aspin Photography and I am even more excited to share with you new projects I am working on, sessions I will be offering and new products I am in LOVE with!
But before we move completely into 2012, I want to share some of my favorite images I captured in 2011. In no particular order…
Tomorrow I will be posting details about my Project 52 I am going to take on. I hope to get many of you involved regardless of your photography level. The goal will be to post one new photo each week and I will have some give a ways to keep you motivated! My goal for the project is to keep me blogging! Make sure to check back!
